Our home can be found in the quiet community of Indian Point, a 2 minute drive from the US 192, the main thoroughfare for shops and Businesses in Kissimmee.Please see the location page.
How do i get to BrillaVilla?
We send an info pack to all of our guests with explicit instructions from your arrival point in Florida.
I want to drive to BrillaVilla, do you provide directions?
Yes we do, we provide directions from when entering the Orlando vicinity on I4 or the 417 Toll road.
How far is BrillaVilla from the airport?
Orlando International is a 27 minute drive from the Car-hire lot, Sandford is 1 hour, Tampa International is 1 1/4 hours. Miami is 4 - 5 hours.
How long does it take to get to the theme parks?
Epcot is the closest Disney theme park to BrillaVilla and takes 12 minutes. Magic Kingdom is the furthest Disney park and takes 20 minutes. Sea World, Discovery Cove and Aquatica take 18 minutes, Universal studios and Islands of Adventure take 20 minutes. (We provide directions to all the major theme parks from BrillaVilla in our info pack)
I'm attending a show at the Orange County Convention Center, how long should i allow to get there?
About 20 minutes, we provide directions from BrillaVilla avoiding the main commuter roads.
Where is the closest grocery store?
There is a 24hr Wal-Mart a 2 minute drive away. Publix Supermarket is a 5 minute drive.
Are there any restaurants within walking distance?
There are restaurants close to BrillaVilla on the US192, the closest is a 15-20 minute walk away.
Where are the good shopping places?
All within an easy drive of our villa. We provide driving instructions for the main malls and some of the bigger stores.
It gets hot for most of the year in Florida, is BrillaVilla air-conditioned?
Yes every room in BrillaVilla is air-conditioned, the family room and 3 double bedrooms all have ceiling fans. We do ask that all outside doors are kept shut, as it is very expensive to try and air-condition the outside of the villa.
Do we need to bring towels/sheets/Hair driers etc with us for our stay?
You do not need to bring these sort of items for your stay at BrillaVilla. Think of BrillaVilla as a home away from home.
Do you provide detergent/washing liquid etc?
No, previous guests may have left some supplies, which you are free to make use of, but if there are none, then these items can be purchased inexpensively from the nearby Wal-Mart.
I'm arriving late, do you provide toiletries for our first night?
Yes our management company provide a small bar of soap and toilet tissue for each bathroom enough to get you started. You will need to provide your own shampoo, shower gel etc.
What is the earliest time i can arrive at BrillaVilla?
4pm. This provides enough time for our cleaners to prepare the property for your arrival
What time must i leave BrillaVilla?
11am. Although if we do not have guests arriving that afternoon, this is something that we can negotiate.
What do you provide for a baby?
We provide a travel crib(US)/Cot(UK), high chair, 2 x stroller's (1 lite and 1 more sturdy) , baby monitor and bed rail. We also provide a small amount of bedding for the crib/cot but most guests do bring a small blanket of their own baby bedding.
What is the arrangement for use of the telephone?
We provide complementary international and long distance calls up to a limit of $10 per stay. However using the system we have setup would provide several thousand minutes of long distance calls. If more than $10 is used, we do reserve the right to deduct any higher amounts from the security deposit.
I'm expecting important telephone calls while staying at BrillaVilla, do you have an answer phone.?
Yes, and provide simple instructions for its use
Do you provide Internet access?
Yes, we provide a wireless (and wired) connection for guests who wish to bring their own laptop. We do not provide a PC for guests use.
Who do we contact if we need help with BrillaVilla?
We have a local management company who look after BrillaVilla on our behalf. We provide a contact number on a little wallet sized card for our guests.
What is not included in BrillaVilla's rental rates?
Our rental rates are for the home only (not per person) and for bookings of 6 nights and above an end of stay clean. Nothing else is included such as flights, car hire , travel insurance and attraction tickets, although we can provide assistance with these. Pool heating, grocery pack and mid-term clean are available at an extra charge.
What times of year would i need pool heating.?
In our view, you would definitively require pool heat in November thru to March. For October + April, it would be optional.
Will BrillaVilla be clean when we arrive?
Yes, at the end of your stay our cleaners do pop in to make sure everything is correct. But we do ask that all guests keep it clean and tidy when you leave.
Why do you ask for a Security Deposit?
The security deposit is to cover any mishaps, breaks , excessive use of utilities or neglect that may occur while you our guests are staying. The Security deposit is returned within 28 days of your departure so long as there are no problems reported by our management company.
How do i secure a booking for BrillaVilla?
Please contact us via email/telephone/letter to confirm that we have your dates available and then We require a £100 / $150 per week booking deposit, and our booking form completing and sending to us. The booking deposit is non-refundable.
How can i pay for BrillaVilla?
We accept US check's, UK Cheques, Wire transfer in to our US bank account, or credit card's via paypal.
When do i pay the balance?
We require the balance to be paid 8 weeks prior to your arrival at BrillaVilla.
When do i receive the exact location and keys for BrillaVilla?
We send an info pack aimed to arrive at your home address 2 weeks prior to your departure for BrillaVilla, which contains all the necessary details for directions and keys.
Do i need to stop off somewhere to pick up the key?
No, we operate a lock box system at BrillaVilla, which we provide an access code. You drive straight to BrillaVilla from your arrival point in Orlando.
I want to add some names to my existing booking can this be done?
Please send an email or letter with their names and we'll add them to the booking form. Only people named on the booking form are allowed to stay at BrillaVilla.
How many people can stay at BrillaVilla?
We are licensed for 10 people + 1 baby.
Is BrillaVilla Licensed?
Yes, we display our short term license in the Kitchen
Do you allow smoking?
We expressly forbid smoking within BrillaVilla for the benefit of our future guests. However we have no issue with guests smoking on the lanai of the pool area, so long as no stub's etc are left lying around.
Do you allow pets?
No, all pets are expressly forbidden.
Do i need travel insurance?
We do recommend all our guests to take travel insurance, to cover any cancellation or losses that may occur. For Non north American guests we highly recommend this due to the cost of health care in the US
